A little bit about the Teacher

I am a current Art Education student at Brigham Young University, and also a member of the National Art Education Association. I received an Associates degree from Utah Valley State College in Earth Science with individual emphasis in art in 2004. I lived in Poland for a year and a half while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I speak Polish. Ive been able to go on humanitarian excursions to different parts of Mexico with Choice Humanitarian, Charity Anywhere, and UVSC's service and learning department. Traveling has opened my eyes to different cultures, and has been a huge part of who I am. Art history: awards in High School art shows, painted religious murals in Mexico, college courses in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, stained glass, color theory, art history, 3-d and 2-d design, I also worked in a Bronze Foundry in Alpine, Utah from 2006-2007 and learned allot about sculpture and the lost wax process of bronze casting. I haven't found a medium that I don't like to work with. Currently my main medium is glass. Working with scraps to small to use for stained glass windows, I have decided to learn about the art of mosaics. I created my first one, and cant wait to finish the next. Other projects I am working on: a bronze sculpture, paintings, and photography.
